Promotion of Hybrid Vegetable Seeds

Punjab Seed Corporation aims to promote the availability and production of hybrid vegetable seeds, including Okra, Bottle Gourd, Bitter Gourd and Brinjal. This initiative focuses on improving access to quality hybrid seeds, supporting enhanced vegetable productivity and promoting crop diversification to meet the growing demand for vegetables in Punjab.

Objectives:

1.To empower small and kitchen garden farmers with quality seeds.
2.To ensure availability of high-yielding, disease-resistant hybrid vegetable seeds at affordable prices.
3.To enhance vegetable productivity per acre through indigenous hybrid development.
4.To promote crop diversification and improve farmer profitability.
