Development of Hybrid Maize Seeds under Public-Private Partnership (PPP)

Punjab Seed Corporation is working towards the development, production and promotion of hybrid maize seeds under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model through collaboration with local seed companies and international partners. The initiative includes exploring local hybrid seed development and multiplication, as well as the introduction of imported hybrid maize varieties to broaden seed availability. The objective is to provide farmers with access to high-quality hybrid seeds, improve crop productivity, strengthen local seed production capabilities and support sustainable agricultural development in Punjab.
